The County Council understands the concerns of food business owners during the recent Coronavirus scare. With a growing population and excellent agricultural land, Ceredigion is home to some great restaurants, pubs, takeaways, and delicatessens. Following are some recommendations to help you keep your food and your customers safe.
Non-compliant businesses in Ceredigion may face enforcement action. In the first instance, a takeaway could be closed if it does not comply with the law. If the takeaway is operating without a permit, it will be issued with a premises improvement notice. If the takeaway does not comply with the law, it will have to stay closed for 28 days until it's compliant. If the takeaway is still operating when it is closed, the Public Protection Officer must be satisfied that it is not in compliance with the law.
