Getting great food in the Cotswolds is not difficult, but if you're looking for a quick bite then you can check out some of the best Cotswold takeaways. From freshly made soups to traditional British dishes, there's a Cotswold takeaway place to suit your needs. Here are a few of our favourites. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
The Bell Inn, one of our favourite Cotswold takeaways, is a classic gourmet pub with rooms, but its takeaway menu is also fantastic! There's a tempting range of pizzas on the menu, and a choice of classics from the regular menu. The pub's famous anchovy and chive flat bread, beer battered fish and chips, and chicken Milanese are all available from the takeaway menu.
In addition to a variety of takeaways, the Cotswolds are also home to a number of farm shops. Several local farmers sell quality produce directly to the public. Daylesford at Kingham is a good example, as is Jolly Nice in Cirencester. Newton Farm shop in Bath and Butts near S.Cerney are other local farm shops worth visiting. During COVID-19, Choco Market has redirected its focus to home deliveries, and is working closely with local Cotswold suppliers to offer fresh and local food to customers.
There are a few Cotswold takeaways open during the Coronavirus lockdown. The Wild Rabbit in Kingham is offering a 'Bottoms Up Takeaway' throughout November. The menu includes a range of seasonal dishes that can be served in a horse box. In Gloucester, the Hooker & Eight in Stroud is serving pizza on Wednesdays and barbeque on Fridays, but they'll also have takeaways on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Cinnamon Stick is a good place to grab a Middle Eastern dish.
