In an effort to ensure the food hygiene standards of local businesses, Telford & Wrekin Council has introduced the Scores on the Doors scheme. Environmental health inspectors visited 22 businesses to determine the standards they met. The businesses that failed the scheme received a zero-star rating, while those that passed the inspection achieved a five-star rating. The scheme is intended to provide information to help consumers make informed decisions when eating out.
