The Environmental Health and Trading Standards teams of South Kesteven District Council are cracking down on restaurants and takeaways that are taking advantage of new government regulations aimed at relaxing regulations on food safety and the distribution of food. These new rules apply to food businesses that have a coronavirus safety measure in place. The council, in conjunction with Trading Standards, is urging businesses to comply with these regulations so that consumers can enjoy delicious food.

Domino's Pizza could open a new branch in Bourne's Abbey Road. The pizza chain applied to the South Kesteven District Council for planning permission in February. The company, Hala Limited, operates the Pizza chain across the UK. It also provides a wellbeing platform for staff. Despite the rejection, the company has pre-let the property. Domino's is likely to remain in the town for the time being.
