Food hygiene ratings in Haringey

A new campaign to tackle fast food in Haringey has begun. In a letter to the business secretary, two MPs have called for a ban on the delivery-only dark kitchens. Initially, the council wanted to restrict takeaways near schools, but a government-appointed planning inspector rejected the plan, saying restrictions would be pointless and limit consumer choice. However, the government's draft London plan for housing and planning has failed to bring any concrete results and has been stalled in Parliament.
